4 Surprisingly simple steps to define success on your Own Terms

"Define success on your own terms, achieve it by your own rules, and build a life you're proud to live." ― Anne Sweeney.

What does success mean to you? This is not a question to be taken lightly because success means different things to different people. For some, it might be making a certain amount of money or reaching a certain level in their career. For others, it might be having a happy and healthy family life, traveling and seeing the world, or closing an important business deal.

No matter what success looks like, the most important thing is to define it for yourself and write it down so you can review it each day. This will help to keep you motivated and on track as you work towards your goals. Here are four surprisingly simple steps to help you define success on your own terms... Success is within your reach - keep reaching for it!

Get clear on your desires and ask yourself how you can achieve them in a S.M.A.R.T and sustainable way.

The first step in manifesting anything you want is to get clear about what you desire. What is your heart's deepest longing? What would bring you the most joy? Once you have a strong sense of what you want, it's time to get SMART about achieving it. SMART is an acronym for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Timely.

Let's break down each component so you can apply it to your life:

- Specific: what exactly do you want to achieve? The more specific you are, the better.

- Measurable: how will you know when you've achieved your goal? Make sure your goal has tangible benchmarks that you can measure.

- Achievable: is your goal attainable? It's important to push yourself but ensure your goals are realistic.

- Relevant: Does your goal align with your overall mission in life? All of your goals should support your larger purpose.

- Timely: by when do you want to achieve your goal? Make sure to give yourself a timeline so you can stay on track.

Getting clear on your goals and creating a road map for achieving them is essential for manifesting your desires in a sustainable way. So go out and manifest your magic! When you take the time to get clear about what you want and create a plan for achieving it, you are setting the stage for success.

Prioritize your goals according to their importance and begin taking action steps towards them.

When it comes to achieving your goals, it's important to prioritize. That means figuring out which goals are the most important to you and then taking action steps towards those goals. Sometimes, you may have so many goals that it can be overwhelming. In that case, it can be helpful to make a list of all of our goals and then prioritize them according to importance. Once you know which goals are the most important, you can focus on taking action steps towards those goals. By taking small steps consistently, you will eventually achieve your goals. Enjoy the process and celebrate your successes along the way! And remember, time is precious, so don't waste it on things that aren't important. Focus on your top priorities and make progress while enjoying the journey.

Manage your mind by having a positive outlook, breaking significant goals into smaller chunks, and celebrating each accomplishment along the way.

It's no secret that a positive outlook can go a long way. When you're feeling good about yourself and your abilities, it's easier to stay motivated and take on whatever challenges come your way. That's why it's important to take some time each day to focus on the things that make you happy. Whether it's spending time with loved ones, exploring your favorite hobby, or simply taking a few moments to appreciate the beauty of nature, taking a moment to appreciate the good in your life can help keep your mind focused on what matters most.

Recognizing your successes, no matter how big or small can help keep you motivated and inspired to achieve even more. In addition to having a positive outlook, it's also vital to break down significant goals into smaller, more manageable chunks. Trying to tackle everything at once can be overwhelming and lead to Burnout. So, instead of trying to do it all at once, focus on taking things one step at a time. That way, you can gradually make progress toward your goals without getting bogged down by the details. And don't forget to celebrate each accomplishment along the way!

So go out there and manage your mind like a boss! Remember, a positive outlook, broken-down goals, and celebrating each accomplishment are key. And with these tips in mind, you're sure to succeed in whatever you set your sights on.

Stop comparing yourself to others, adjust your standards as needed, give yourself time to accomplish goals, and celebrate every small victory!

It's easy to get caught up in comparing ourselves to others. You see someone thinner, wealthier, and more successful, and we cannot help but feel inferior. But the truth is, comparison is a thief of joy. It steals our focus from our own lives and accomplishments and breeds dissatisfaction.

So how can we stop comparing ourselves to others?

  • First, adjust your standards as needed. If you're constantly comparing yourself to unreasonably successful or beautiful people, you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

  • Second, give yourself time to accomplish goals. Google wasn't built in a day, and neither are most worthy goals.

  • Third, celebrate every small victory. When you focus too much on where you want to be, you can miss all the good that's happening right now.

So take a step back, enjoy your accomplishments, big and small, and resist the urge to compare yourself to others. You'll be much happier for it!
